Summary
A “privacy policy” is supposed to be some kind of legal document to say to people, “here’s data we collect and what we do with it”. Well #1 I’m not a lawyer, and #2 I don’t set up anything “extra” on this website or server to “collect” or “do something” with data of other people that they aren’t already aware of. Every website on the Internet runs on a server and every server can have software on it that allows the person running the site to see IP addresses of visitors, their browser, operating system info, and maybe other similar type of data that a person running the site can analyze if they cared about analyzing the site traffic data. I don’t personally have time to be so concerned about that stuff, so I almost never look at reports, hardly ever. But you should know that every website has these same basic capabilities and there’s nothing “unique” about anything I’m doing with WYLH.org vs. any other website on the Internet. If there is ever a registration system on this site for any purpose, or a profile system of any kind, or a social network on this site, or an email service or forum, or anything similar to any of these things where personal data is provided by someone, you can see what data you choose to provide on the forms you fill out yourself. This is not some big business – this is a religious ministry. We don’t sell anyone’s data. We don’t share anyone’s data. We keep things private to ourself. I don’t even see the need for a privacy policy. I’m only filling out this page because it’s built into the blog software to have one. Not sure what else to say. I’m not going to put a bunch of legal jargon on here that makes things confusing or to try to sound “official”, because this isn’t a business.
