In Leviticus 16:8, 10, and 26 it mentions in the Hebrew Azazeil (spelled Azazel usually). Who, or what, is Azazel?

Answer From The Annual Reading Schedule - Week 27 Notes For Leviticus: I don't know. I don't claim to know. And I don't believe I have to know. Maybe one day the Father will reveal this to me clearly, but for now I am just content in saying that I do not know. I may search it out more at some point, but I have heard different opinions from different sources and still do not know. In the King James Version, this word is translated as "scapegoat". Perhaps that is correct?
