Tithing In The New Testament

1. Yahushua’s Rebuke (Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42)

Pharisees tithed mint, anise, cummin, rue—tiny garden produce—but neglected "weightier matters". Yahushua never adds money to the list.

2. The Widow’s Gift (Luke 21:1-4)

Coins dropped into the Temple box are called gifts (doron), not tithes.

3. Hebrews 7 Snapshot

Avraham’s tithe is cited, yet ongoing authority for commanded tithes remains only with Levites.

4. Paulus’ View On Giving Is Clear (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Stating, "not..." "...of necessity". Giving of wages is joyful and voluntary—not in fulfillment of a tithing command.
