What were the main basis upon which Mosheh (Moses) made his appeal to Yahweh for relenting from doing any evil to the people?
Answer From The Annual Reading Schedule - Week 19 Notes For Exodus: Based upon what the Mitsrites (Egyptians) might speak if evil came upon the people and also based upon what Yahweh swore by himself concerning Avraham (Abraham), Yitschaq (Isaac), and Ya'aqov (Jacob). What the Mitsrites might speak was important because it has to do with Yahweh's Name, and what was sworn also because it is about Yahweh doing what He swore He would do. These are all related to bringing esteem to the Name of Yahweh. This reminds me of verses discussing how Yahweh has done this and other things for His Name's sake (see 'Related Verses' for "For His Name’s Sake").
