Critical Tips To Understand Apostle Paul
His name is not really "Paul". He had two names: the Hebrew Name Sha'ul, and his second name - his Latin name Paulus. We are required by Matthew 10:40-41, Luke 10:16, and John 13:20 to receive those whom Yahushua sends, and Sha’ul (Paulus) was chosen and sent by Yahushua according to Acts 9:15.
Sha'ul (Paulus) never taught you should disobey the laws in the Bible from Genesis to Malachi (commonly referred to as 'the Old Testament'). He was merely teaching that your good works of law keeping can't justify and save you. In other words, if you did really good at keeping the laws, you could not then use those good works of keeping the laws as an excuse to sin in other ways and think that your law keeping you did "earned you" salvation. You still need the shed blood of Yahushua to atone for your sins, no matter how many laws you keep and no matter how good you do, because nobody has been 100% perfect except Yahushua, and salvation is a gift. Saying that you aren't saved by works of the law doesn't mean "don't keep the law" - it is just a warning that no matter how good you keep the law, you should never get prideful and think you can be saved without the shed blood of Yahushua.
For example: You can't "earn salvation" by giving to the poor or honoring your parents, but obviously it's good to give to the poor and honor your Father and Mother. So no - you can't save yourself by those good works of keeping the law of giving to the poor and honoring your Father and Mother - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do those good works. You aren't saved by honoring your Father and Mother, but you most certainly should honor them. The same is true for all the commands - do them - because that's the right loving thing to do - Sabbath, Eat Clean, Feasts, - do it all - because it's the loving, right thing to do.
It's also true that not being saved by works should strike fear into the heart of anyone who thinks they have "earned a right to slack off due to their good works". If you think you're so good that you have "earned salvation" and then you become a slacker and you go off and live in drunkenness and fornication, if you do not repent and stop living that way and you die living in rebellion in those sins and refusing to repent, you will not have salvation (Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:5-6). None of your good works you did before can save you. So not being saved by works doesn't mean, "slack off and be lazy" - it actually means, "don't take confidence in your good works and then slack off and become lazy because you think too much of yourself, because your good works can't ever save you and you must endure till the end as a faithful, repentant believer".
Also, I want to point out something very, very, important: While you cannot save yourself by your works, you can bring judgment upon yourself by your works if you are being rebellious, willfully living in major sin, and refusing to repent. There is absolutely nothing in Paulus' writings which condone living in willful, rebellious sin. True - you can't save yourself by your works. But false - if you think you can't bring judgment on yourself by refusing to repent of evil works.
Romans 11:21-22 For if Elohiym did not spare the natural branches, He might not spare you either. See then the kindness and sharpness of Elohiym: on those who fell sharpness, but toward you kindness, if you continue in His kindness, otherwise you also shall be cut off.
Lastly: The King James Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:12, "to the rest speak I, not the Lord" - of course we would read and write this as, "to the rest I say, not the Adon" instead - but what does Sha'ul (Paulus) mean by these words? The video below explains how to understand this better.
