Biblical Calendar Teachings & Info

  • Seventh (7th) Day Sabbath (Shabbat) Observance - A summary about the seventh day Shabbat (Sabbath).
  • The Biblical Calendar Detailed Study Covering Various Topics (PDF) - This is still in a draft form, the second version of this study, and tons more work is needed, but lots of good info in here.
  • The New Moon Day Study Notes (PDF) - Tons of great commentary/study notes on the New Moon day from across the Bible.
  • New Moon Sighting Witnesses - Which New Moon Sightings can/should believers accept or not accept and why?
  • Additional Info: New Moon Witness Criteria - This link is only intended for people interested in becoming a new moon sighting witness and provides additional information.
  • Barley, Equinox, New Year, HaAviyv, Wave Sheaf Day, Resurrection Day, Omer Count Discussion - A brief discussion on the topics of the Barley, Equinox, Biblical New Year, HaAviyv (Abib), the Wave Sheaf Day when Yahushua was resurrected, and the Omer Count which started on that day also in the year Yahushua was resurrected.
  • What Is Abib? - Known in various ways as Aviv, Abib, HaAbib, HaAviyv, etc. - what does Barley got to do with all of this?
  • Bill's Chronology of The Last 10 Days & The Day of The Week The Messiah Yahushua Was Impaled - Two long and detailed videos on this page - one near the top, one at the bottom, proving lots of things related to the Biblical calendar, and tying many pieces together, centered around the day of the week that the Messiah (Christ/Mashiach) was impaled/crucified.
  • Reminder For Men To Appear Before Yahweh, But Not Empty Handed - Yahweh expects men to bring a gift/offering of some kind three times a year around the three Biblical Feast times. This is a brief review and explanation of this topic with some related comments.
  • The WYLH Passover Summary - A summary presentation of all the major points regarding Passover. This gives you the majority of the conclusions I've come to and verses used to come to those conclusions all in one place that you can then study on your own. This does have some information not in the related 'building' video because I edited this video later with new additional slides and information, although there are some details covered more in that other one at a slower pace, so both are helpful.
  • Building The WYLH Pesach Summary - Get extra details, background and info related to the Passover Summary video and watch the process of the presentation being created. Also, hear related questions from others and answers provided.
  • Omer Count Summary - A summary presentation of all the major points regarding the Counting of the Omer (sheaf). This gives you the majority of the conclusions I've come to and verses used to come to those conclusions all in one place that you can then study on your own. The year Yahushua died and was resurrected, the Omer Count began the day He was resurrected.
  • First Fruits - The Day of First Fruits is the beginning of the Barley Harvest when the Omer Count starts. This is a recording on the Day of First Fruits providing additional information for the Day of First Fruits that supplements the Omer Count Summary video. The Day of First Fruits was also the day Yahushua rose from the dead that year, and He is the First Fruits.

This Year's Biblical Calendar

"This calendar is not just for the Jews, Hebrews, or Israelites, but for all mankind, for the whole world. Our Creator intended that we know His times. He is calling us back to the Truth. Will you heed that calling?"

We can't be 100% certain when the New Moon days will be in the future until they actually begin because we rely upon eye-witnesses to sight the New Moon. However, by using the UK Nautical Almanac Office Websurf 2.0 Visibility Indicator (see below instructions on use), we've been fairly successful so far guessing at when we believe the New Moon days will occur. Using that tool, locations considered included Phoenix, AZ and Washington, D.C. because we usually receive reports from or near these locations.

The Biblical Calendar I publish is supposed to mention all of the events found in the Scriptures for each month. If you find any Scriptural events we have not mentioned at all from the below calendars, please let me know. We currently have five options for you to select from for this year's Biblical Calendar:

  1. Tiny Customized Icon Representing Link To Detailed Calendar This Year's Detailed Calendar - This version has the most details on every single day, but the smallest font. If you like details, this is the one for you!
  2. Tiny Customized Icon Representing Link To Summary Colorful Calendar This Year's Summary Evening-Morning Colorful Calendar - This version has only major events/observances on days in the calendar, and puts a summary of all the other details at the bottom of each month. This version has larger font making it much easier to read. This also features a colorful display showing when it is evening, night, morning, and day. This also clearly denotes where the Roman dates start and end to help people remember that the Roman dates do not line up exactly with the Biblical dates since Biblical dates end in the evening and not at midnight.
  3. Tiny Customized Icon Representing Link To Summary Plain Calendar This Year's Summary Plain Calendar - This version is just like the Summary Evening-Morning Colorful Calendar except that it does not have the colors for the time of the day. This is preferable if you don't have a color printer or can't read the Roman dates well enough on the colored version and that is important to you.
  4. Tiny Customized Icon Representing Link To Summary Low-Ink Calendar This Year's Summary Low-Ink Calendar - This version is just like the Summary Evening-Morning Colorful Calendar except that it does not have the colors for the time of the day and it has been modified to use only gray font instead of black or colored font. The use of the gray font makes it easier for people who don't have a lot of black ink to print out this calendar without using a lot of ink. This is preferable if you don't have a color printer and only have a little bit of black ink left and want to preserve it.
  5. Tiny Customized Icon Representing Link To Summary Plain and Detailed Combined Calendar This Year's Summary Plain & Detailed Combined Calendar - This version combines the Summary Plain Calendar with the Detailed Calendar so you can enjoy both! This is designed for double-sided printing so that on one side you see the larger print summary calendar which is easier on the eyes, and on the other side of the paper you will see the smaller print detailed calendar for when you want to dig more into Biblical events on each individual day!

Below are the dates of major days to observe found in the above linked Calendar files for this year (that was accurate a few years ago - this page is in need of updates - hope to update soon, sorry). We hope you fellow disciples of Yahushua are blessed by these calendar selections. We also hope you join us for Our New Moon Gatherings! To all of you fellow talmidim - Shalom and blessings to you and your home!

Guesses At Biblical Calendars In The Near Future

We can't be 100% certain when the New Moon days will be in the future until they actually begin because we rely upon 2 witnesses to sight the New Moon.

For years in which it is not clear when the first month will fall yet, we've included a regular version of the calendar (with the earlier possibility) and a later version of the calendar. We won't know for certain until that time arrives because we rely upon a barley search that is conducted by believers who travel to Yisra'el each year in the 12th Biblical month to estimate if the barley will be in the aviv stage of development by the middle of the next month for the wave sheaf offering (Leviticus 23:10-11). If for some reason that search in Yisra'el cannot be conducted in the future, we will estimate the barley would have been ready for the wave sheaf if the New Moon is expected to be sighted on or after the 6th day of the 3rd roman month. We do not believe the equinox has to fall before the New Moon of HaAviv (the first Biblical month). We believe as long as the equinox falls within the first two weeks of the month, it could still be declared the first month of HaAviv and that all the feasts would still be considered to be kept in their correct seasons. In the event we lacked a barley search, this method would also result in the first day of the year always being as close to the date of the equinox as possible. Please see the Biblical Calendar Study for more details and further explanation on our views of the Biblical Calendar.

Coming soon, Yahweh willing.

Past Calendars

Starting with the 2019-2020 calendars at the bottom of this list, we plan to leave up links to all calendars from past years. Calendars are listed from newest on top to oldest on bottom with the most recent year listed at the top also, even though this section is intended for 'past' calendars, just in case someone scrolled down too quick and missed the links for the current year calendar higher up in the page.

Other Resources

Just for your own educational and exploration purposes, we provide links to the following online resources and calculation tools regarding new moon visibility percentages, sunset, and moonset times, etc..:

Please REMEMBER - Some of these websites use the phrase "New Moon" but what they really mean is "Conjunction". Please don't get confused and think that the "New Moon" days they list are the real New Moon days, these are just dates of the conjunction which are a factor in predicting when the New Moon will actually be sighted.

  • UK Nautical Almanac Office Websurf 2.0 Visibility Indicator - At this link, you first accept their terms. At the next screen, click the Arrow next to "Crescent Moon Visibility" then click "Run this option". Then, click on the "Latitude, longitude, and time zone" Tab second from the right and enter a name for the location, longitude, latitude, and time zone and click "Enter". On the next screen, you will need to check the box to use dates and then put in a Start and End Date and click "Calculate". This will give you a data output that shows for that location the visibility conditions of the new moons between the start and the end date you entered.
  • UK Nautical Almanac Office Websurf Visibility Indicator - At this link, you first accept their terms. On the next page you click "Moon_Viz" on the left. Then you scroll down to the bottom and enter your longitude, latitude, time zone and click "Enter". On the screen after that, you enter the Roman year you want data for and click "OK". This will give you calculation results for the location at the longitude and latitude you picked estimating if the New Moon will be visible or not and under what conditions (e.g. easily visible or only visible under perfect conditions). This is the same data as is used to make moon visibility charts except in a data format.
  • Astronomical Applications Department of the U.S. Naval Observatory: Complete Sun and Moon Data for One Day - To find times of conjunction, sunset, moonset, and moon illumination percentage.
  • NASA's Sky Events Calendar for one Roman Month or Roman Year - This can be used to see the conjunctions and other data for a Roman month or year all in one place.
  • EliYah.com New Moon Visibility Charts - EliYah's charts clearly show regions of expected visibility.
