  3. On those 7 days what are we commanded to have?

  7. What objects pass through fire for cleansing in addition to cleansing with the water for uncleanness?

Reading Notes

  • One thought: Perhaps we should be praying and/or praising Yahweh in the morning and the evening at the 3rd and 9th hours of the daylight? If these are "Appointed Times" for offerings, perhaps that would make sense for us to get in the habit of doing this at the Appointed Times as well as part of us serving Yahweh. In addition, this would make sense as to why it is good to praise Yahweh even especially on Sabbaths and New Moons. Even if we aren't commanded to take off work on all the New Moon days, perhaps we can at least praise Yahweh in the morning for a little bit, pray as a family, praise Him in the evening as a family, and sit down to a good meal together to start off the new month.
  • We should keep in mind that offerings are done daily when reading about feast offerings, Passover, etc.. Any other offerings are in addition to the daily offerings or otherwise required offerings on a given day such as Sabbath or New Moon offerings.
  • Some people believe the offerings change in the Millennial Kingdom based upon Ezekiel 46. I am not certain myself if those offerings are a change or just in addition to the ones already required in Numbers 28. I do not know for certain. I tend to lean towards thinking that Ezekiel 46 offerings are in addition to the Numbers 28 offerings, but I consider the possibility that I am wrong also.
  • In Numbers 30:15 it says that "he bears her crookedness." Perhaps this is related to her ending a serious vow to Yahweh that she should have kept. Since he is nullifying it later than the time he initially hears about it, he bears the crookedness of that vow not being kept, instead of her, since he is the one nullifying it.
  • Widows and divorced women are covered in Numbers 30:9. For any woman who is not a widow or a divorced woman, Numbers 30 makes it clear that a father has authority to forbid any agreements (vows, oaths, or other general agreements of any kind) that an unmarried daughter of his enters into. For a married woman, the husband then has this authority. This would also show that women who are not married need to get their Father's approval before they marry.
