Thoughts In The Night…

I wake sometimes with thoughts in my mind I want to capture and remember … and I just so happen this time to be next to a computer … so I figured I’d start this category of blog posts called… “Thoughts In The Night”.

As each one of us walks about each day, there is a war brewing…

“At the blast of the ram’s horn he says, ‘Aha!’ And from afar he smells the battle, the thunder of commanders and shouting.” (Job 39:25)

And our Commander is the King of Self Control.

“For with You I run against a troop, And with my Elohiym I leap over a wall.” (Psalms 18:29)

“Teaching my hands for battle, So that my arms shall bend a bow of bronze.” (Psalms 18:34)

The war is over our souls.

“YHWH is a man of battle, YHWH is His Name.” (Exodus 15:3)

The enemy is looking to trip us up, but if we follow our commander, the chief in command, then our battle plan will be successful.  We WILL have victory. No Doubt.

Part of being a man is having self-control.

“for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how shall he look after the assembly of Elohiym?” (1 Timothy 3:5)

The first house a man must rule well is his body.

“knowing that the putting off of my tent is soon, even as our Master YHWSHUA Messiah made clear to me.” (2 Peter 1:14)

“For indeed, we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we wish to put it off, but to put on the other, so that what is to die might be swallowed up by life.” (2 Corinthians 5:4)

“But He spoke about the Dwelling Place of His body.” (John 2:21)

Men, especially young men, have many things they want.  But how oh how do we rule our house well?

Once again, submit to the commander in Chief – the King of Self-Control.

You want to have a wife, but first you must learn what it really means to be a man.

You want to rule over a house, but first you must be able to rule over a house – that is your body.

Because, remember, YHWH is the King of Self-Control.  Self-Control is one of the fruits of the Spirit – and YHWH is the King of it.  YHWH is the inventor of Self-Control.  YHWH is the Commander in Chief.  He has designed everything, and He knows how everything works, and if you want to have success in life – who do you think will help you to get there?  You can’t get there on your own.  And when I mean success I don’t mean a big house and fancy cars (although YHWH can bless us of course) – I mean real success.

Real success starts with first having dominion over your own body.  So submit to YHWH, and He will give you the victory through His Set-Apart Spirit.  Take up the Spiritual weapons and slay the dragon or unclean beasts which think to rule over you.  Instead, let it be known that you have a ruler, and His Name is YHWH!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh. For the weapons we fight with are not fleshly but mighty in Elohiym for overthrowing strongholds, overthrowing reasonings and every high matter that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohiym, taking captive every thought to make it obedient to the Messiah, and being ready to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

YHWH Is King!  We have got to train and prepare the young men to be men, and equip them with the weapons, and ensure that they are trained as soldiers – ready for the battle of their life; and capable men able to train their children after them also.

“Yet You are Qadosh, Enthroned on the praises of Yisra’el.” (Psalms 22:3)

Our hearts praise Him and He rules in our hearts, and He will have victory over the enemy.

“And the Elohiym of peace shall crush Satan under your feet shortly. The favour of our Master YHWSHUA Messiah be with you. Amein.” (Romans 16:20)

And because He has victory, and we are in His army, WE have victory.

“Do not make yourselves abominable with any creeping creature that creeps, and do not make yourselves unclean with them, lest you be defiled by them.” (Leviticus 11:43)

If we crushed a serpent with our shoes, would our shoes need to be washed?

“And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said YHWH of hosts.” (Malachi 4:3)

If they are ashes, have they then died?

“He who touches the dead of any human being is unclean for seven days.” (Numbers 19:11)

Will it be that flesh and blood only exists for 7,000 years and after that there is no more flesh?

“And the clean one shall sprinkle the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day. And on the seventh day he shall cleanse himself, and shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and shall be clean in the evening.” (Numbers 19:11)

After 3,000 years the temple was built and after about, and maybe even just shortly before 4,000, HaMashiach came to save us.  Was that a sprinkling also?  That is possibly all happening on the third day (as a day is as a thousand years Psalms 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8).  And is it that after 6,000 years have ended, on the 7th Day He returns and mankind is cleansed with garments washed and bathed?

“And I shall sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean – from all your filthiness and from all your idols I cleanse you.” (Ezekiel 36:25)

It seems this water for cleansing is sprinkled possibly for cleansing in the flesh due to lack of physical  red heifer ashes up till that point and idols, even idols in hearts, so for cleansing of flesh and spirit.  And if we have been in this world we can see the corruption and we feel a need to be cleansed.  Just think – even having a crushed a serpent under our feet and/or trampling those who are turned to ashes from a consuming fire underfoot.  We all need our Father’s cleansing.

Forget the desires of the flesh that fade and pass away.  They are here for a moment, and then they are gone and perish along with the flesh. (Psalms 112:10, Ecclesiastes 12:5, 1 John 2:17) Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:50).

Let’s choose each day, as our heart beats, to submit to YHWH – whether it be as young or old, single men and women, or married, submitting our bodies as Set-Apart dwellings, Qodesh tabernacles for the Ruach HaQodesh, unblemished from this world that is so corrupted, the marriages being a picture of the beautiful relationship of order, love, and affection – the husband submitted to Yahweh and the wife submitted to the husband, and so the marriage submitted to the Word of YHWH. In submitting to His desires and Will, we find ourselves in the end victorious.  The enemy cannot win.  The directions and commands of our Chief in Command will bring us victories in the battles, and ultimately the war as a whole.  May it be so for you, for me, and for us all.  And let us train up our young men to do battle.  Amein.
