As mentioned on last month’s New Moon post, we had no information to indicate the Barley would have been ready and the last Biblical year therefore had 13 months (with last month being that 13th Month). By default, therefore we consider this to be the 1st Biblical Month of the Year.
Blow the Shofar! The 1st New Moon has been sighted! Rosh Chodesh Sameach!! Happy New Moon Day and Head of the Year!! It’s the month of HaAviyv (The Green Grain) (aka HaAbib/Abib)! This is the Head of the Months of the Year!
