Barley Condition For New Year
Regarding the Barley condition, it is our understanding that the Barley is sufficiently developed to consider this the first New Moon of the year. In the future we are hoping to write a Barley study to explain our view on Barley searches, results, expectations, and determinations, but that is not yet ready to be published and needs some work. We may, alternatively, include that in our Biblical Calendar study. For now – it is sufficient to say we got advise from others knowledgeable in agriculture whose opinions we consider valid and reliable to come to this determination that the New Year may begin at this time. We would expect this timing to match times determined in ancient times based upon when the Barley Harvest would be ready for the wave sheaf offering (when that was done during times the Temple was standing).
